Ben Roethlisberger Ruled Out For Sunday's Game

Mike Ehrmann/Getty Images(PITTSBURGH) – Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger will not suit up this Sunday against the New England Patriots.

Head coach Mike Tomlin confirmed Tuesday that Roethlisberger has been officially ruled out after undergoing surgery to repair a torn meniscus on Monday.

Tomlin did not give a timetable as to Roethlisberger’s return. “”When he is healthy, he’ll be back with us,” Tomlin said.”

Backup Landry Jones is in line to start in Roethlisberger’s place. In limited action last season, Jones went 32-of-55 for 513 yards, three touchdowns and four interceptions.

The Steelers are 4-2 on the season after falling to Miami on Sunday.
