Bucs' Doug Martin Sidelined Three Weeks for Hamstring Injury

Kevin C. Cox/Getty Images(TAMPA BAY, Fla.) — Tampa Bay Buccaneers running back Doug Martin will be sidelined for three weeks following an injury to his hamstring, ESPN has confirmed.

Martin, 27, sustained the injury during the second quarter of Sunday’s game against the Arizona Cardinals. The Bucs went on to lose 40-7.

Dirk Koetter, the head coach for Tampa Bay, spoke about the injury on Monday, saying it “definitely hurts you.”

“But that’s the NFL. You’re only healthy for one week and then you’re hoping that you are fortunate enough to stay healthy the rest of the year,” he added.
