Celtics All-Star Kyrie Irving Out For Season And Playoffs After Knee Surgery

Due to his left knee surgery, All-Star point guard Kyrie Irving of the Boston Celtics will miss the rest of the regular season and playoffs, according to reports. While reports were not yet confirmed by the Celtics, it is being reported that Irving would miss an opportunity to play in the NBA Finals for a fourth straight year. Irving said his knee started feeling sore during the March 3 game against Houston, and has not played since March 11 against Indiana. In his first season with the Celtics, he has posted averages of 24.4 points, 3.8 rebounds and 5.1 assists per game.
