(NEW YORK) — Chicago Cubs first baseman Anthony Rizzo visited Good Morning America fresh off his historic World Series win, and says the winning ball he caught in Game 7 is in good hands with the team’s owner Thomas Ricketts.
“I gave it to our owner. I think the city of Chicago owns it,” he said. “He’s built that team and he’s invested in us, so I gave it to him — that ball — at the parade.”
Rizzo earlier this week was awarded the Rawlings Golden Glove after helping his team to its first World Series title in 108 years.
