Cubs Win Game 5; World Series Heads Back to Cleveland

Jamie Squire/Getty Images(CHICAGO) — The Cleveland Indians had the opportunity last night to clinch the World Series. Instead, we’re headed to Game 6 after the Chicago Cubs won at Wrigley Field.

It was a must-win for the Cubs and they staved off disaster, scoring three runs in the fourth inning, one more than Cleveland’s single runs in the second and sixth – seven hits total for the Indians, and six for Chicago – putting the series at 3-2.

Even with the Cubs’ win Sunday, the Indians remain one victory away from winning their first World Series since 1948.  Chicago needs to win both remaining games to clinch the title.

Cleveland hasn’t needed home field advantage to beat Chicago, winning two of their three games at Wrigley, but they’ll have it when they travel back home for Game 6 Tuesday at 8:08 p.m. ET.
