Defending Kelly Cup Champion Clarke Comes To Rush

(RAPID CITY, SD) – The Rapid City Rush, proud ECHL affiliate of the NHL’s Arizona Coyotes and AHL’s Springfield Falcons, announced today the acquisition of forward/defenseman Garrett Clarke from the Allen Americans for future considerations.

 

Clarke, a 22 year-old native of Windsor, Nova Scotia, comes to the Rush after spending the beginning of the 2015-16 ECHL season with the Allen Americans, with whom he won the 2015 Kelly Cup Championship.  The 6’0”, 200-pounder skated in 3 contests with the Americans, notching a goal and an assist each for 2 points.  In his four-year career, Clarke has played in 166 games between the CHL and ECHL with the Arizona Sundogs and Allen Americans, racking up 33 points (11 G, 22 Ast), along with 620 PIM.  Prior to turning professional, Clarke recorded 97 points (27 G, 70 Ast) in 203 games over the course of three seasons in the QMJHL with the Lewiston MAINEiacs, Halifax Mooseheads, Acadie-Bathurst Titan, Shawnigan Cataractes, and the Gatineau Olympiques.
