Dodgers Ball Girl Saves Unaware Fan from 108-MPH Foul Ball

Polka Dot/Thinkstock(LOS ANGELES) — The ball girl at Dodgers Statidum knocked it out of the park when she saved an unaware fan from a foul ball going 108 miles per hour at Sunday’s game between the Dodgers and Diamondbacks.

The fan was on his phone and didn’t notice the foul ball until after she made the back-handed catch. He looked up after the save and thankfully, his beer was also saved.

“Emily the Ball Girl” then gave the fan the ball and sat down in her chair as the crowd cheered and applauded.

Even famed Dodgers broadcaster Vin Scully acknowledged the catch: “She just made a great play on that foul ball. Got the loudest roar in quite a few innings.”
