Los Angeles Clippers' Chris Paul to Miss 6 to 8 Weeks for Thumb Surgery

Scott Halleran/Getty Images(LOS ANGELES) — Los Angeles Clippers guard Chris Paul will be sidelined for six to eight weeks to undergo surgery for a sprained left thumb, the team said.

The surgery will repair a torn ligament in the thumb, an injury he sustained in Monday night’s 29-14 victory over the Oklahoma City Thunder.

According to ESPN, Paul had previously had surgery for a thumb (his right thumb) in the 2012 offseason. Dr. Steve Shin performed the surgery and will also perform surgery for Paul’s left thumb on Wednesday.
