Los Angeles Rams Head Coach Praises Jared Goff's Performance

(Scott Clarke / ESPN Images)(LOS ANGELES) — Los Angeles Rams head cocah Jeff Fisher told reporters on Sunday that quarterback Jared Goff did a “really good job” in his NFL debut against the Miami Dolphins.

Goff was the first overall pick in the 2016 NFL Draft, selected out of the University of California.

Fisher went on to say Goff “did a nice job on the line of scrimmage,” adding that he was “in complete control” during the game.

The 22-year-old quarterback did not score a touchdown nor did he commit any turnovers. He completed 17-of-31 passes for 134 yards. Speaking to reporters, Goff said he felt “very comfortable” while playing on wet field conditions.

Goff earned the Rams’ starting quarterback job due in part to ineffective play from previous starter Case Keenum. The Rams face the New Orleans Saints next weekend on the road, where Goff is expected to make his second career start.
