Nerlens Noel: “Too Good To Be Playing Eight Minutes”

Mitchell Leff/Getty Images(PHILADELPHIA) – Philadelphia 76ers center Nerlens Noel sounded off about his lack of playing time after Friday’s loss to the Los Angeles Lakers.

Noel, who was playing in just his second game of the season after returning from offseason knee surgery, logged just eight minutes against Los Angeles.

“I think I’m too good to be playing eight minutes,” said Noel. “That’s crazy. Need to figure this s— out.”

In Noel’s season debut on Sunday, he scored eight points in 10 minutes, but suffered a sprained left ankle and did not return to the game.

He scored two points and grabbed five rebounds on Friday.

He said he wasn’t sure how the situation should be resolved. “I just want to be on the court playing basketball. I don’t really care who I’m playing with,” Noel said. “Ideally, I’d just like to be playing basketball. Just doing my thing, care free.”

Noel was drafted sixth overall in the 2013 draft.
