Report: Oregon to Name USF's Willie Taggart as New Head Coach

Phil Ellsworth / ESPN Images(NEW YORK) — The University of Oregon has reportedly chosen a replacement for former head football coach Mark Helfrich.

Sources tell ESPN Willie Taggart, the head coach for the University of South Florida, will be named as Helfrich’s successor. Helfrich was fired by the Ducks last week after leading the team to a dismal 4-8 record this season.

Taggart, 40, has coached the South Florida Bulls since 2013. This past season he led USF to a 10-2 record.
