Report: Packers' Eddie Lacy Will Likely Sit Out Thursday's Game

Scott Clarke / ESPN Images(GREEN BAY, Wis.) — The Green Bay Packers’ acquisition of Kansas City Chiefs running back Knile Davis couldn’t have come at better time.

The Packers are now down two running backs ahead of Thursday night’s game against the Chicago Bears.

James Starks will reportedly be out for weeks after having knee surgery, and Eddie Lacy continues to nurse an ankle injury and is not expected to play Thursday, ESPN reports.

A league source tells ESPN Lacy is seeking a second opinion on his ankle.

Davis was traded to Green Bay on Tuesday in exchange for a conditional late-round draft pick. So far in his career, Davis has 775 rushing yards and 11 touchdowns.
