Rio Olympics 2016: Gymnast Simone Biles Goes for Fourth Gold Medal Monday

FABRICE COFFRINI/AFP/Getty Images(RIO DE JANEIRO) — With Day 10 of the Olympic Games in Rio underway Monday, here are some of the most exciting events to watch to cheer on Team USA.

Gymnastics

Simone Biles is set to compete for her fourth gold medal in the finals for the women’s beam Monday afternoon. The 19-year-old is the favorite to win gold. Laurie Hernandez, 16, will also be representing Team USA, along with Biles, at the finals scheduled for 2:46 p.m. Eastern Time.

Biles has already won three gold medals in one Olympic games, the record-breaking first for an American woman.

Track and Field

Allyson Felix, 30, is set to run the 400 meter finals today, representing Team USA. Felix won first place in the semi-finals Sunday night.

The southern California native will race alongside American teammates Natasha Hastings, 30, and Phyllis Francis, 24, Monday night at 9:45 p.m. ET.

The men’s 800 meter finals is also Monday night with Clayton Murphy and Boris Berian representing Team USA.

Beach Volleyball

The American men’s beach volleyball duo of Phil Dalhausser, 36, and Nick Lucena, 36, are set to compete in the quarter-finals against Brazil at 3 p.m. ET.
