Hemera/Thinkstock(CHARLOTTE, N.C.) — The second round of the Sprint Cup Series’ Chase begins this weekend with a night race at Charlotte Motor Speedway.
The North Carolina track will host the Bank of America 500 Saturday night. NBC’s coverage of the race will get underway at 7 p.m. ET.
Twelve of the original 16 Chase drivers remain alive in NASCAR’s version of the playoffs. They are: Martin Truex Jr., Kevin Harvick, Kyle Busch, Brad Keselowski, Matt Kenseth, Joey Logano, Chase Elliott, Jimmie Johnson, Denny Hamlin, Carl Edwards, Kurt Busch and Austin Dillon.
Truex won two races during the first round of the Chase, while Harvick took one race.
