Jean Catuffe/Getty Images(RIO DE JANEIRO) — Simone Biles became the 2016 women’s gymnastics all-around champion at the Olympics in Rio Thursday, joining the ranks of other U.S. greats Mary Lou Retton, Carly Patterson, Nastia Liukin and Gabby Douglas.
Her U.S. teammate Aly Raisman took the silver medal in the individual final event, while Russia’s Aliya Mustafina won bronze.
