Texans QB Tom Savage Ruled Out With Concussion Following Scary Hit

Houston Texans quarterback Tom Savage took a brutal hit during Sunday’s game against the San Francisco 49ers — his head bouncing off the ground — and immediately suffered what looked to be a seizure as he lay in the end zone. After the hit by Elvis Dumervil, Savage’s hands started twitching as he rolled on the field. Savage was helped up and taken off the field to be evaluated for a concussion. He returned to the field for a series, but afterwards Savage was tested again and it was determined he needed to leave the game.
