Three NBA Teams to Stop Staying in Trump-Brand Hotels

Photodisc/Thinkstock(NEW YORK) — Trump-brand hotels are taking a hit with some pretty high-end clientele. Sources have told ESPN the Milwaukee Bucks, Memphis Grizzlies and Dallas Mavericks have moved away from using Trump hotels in New York City and Chicago on road trips in an effort to avoid implied association with the president-elect.

Another Eastern Conference team, scheduled to stay at the Trump SoHo in New York later this season, has likewise already switched to a different Manhattan hotel, while seven other teams still currently plan to stay at Trump-brand properties.

Mavericks’ owner Mark Cuban was a public supporter of Hillary Clinton during her presidential campaign and was strongly against fellow billionare Donald Trump. Bucks’ co-owner Marc Lasry also supported Clinton.
