Hemera/Thinkstock(RIDGEWAY, Va.) — Four NASCAR teams were set to participate in a tire test at Martinsville Speedway in Virginia on Tuesday and Wednesday.
The Chip Ganassi Racing No. 1 Chevrolet team with driver Jamie McMurray, the Roush Fenway Racing No. 16 Ford team with driver Greg Biffle, the Richard Childress Racing No. 27 Chevrolet team with driver Paul Menard, and the Furniture Row Racing No. 78 Toyota team with driver Martin Truex Jr. were all expected to be involved, NASCAR.com reports.
The Goodyear tire test at Martinsville comes in advance of the track’s October 30 Sprint Cup Series race.
Two more tire tests are scheduled later this season at Kansas Speedway and Homestead-Miami Speedway.
