Alex Rodriguez Takes Field for First Time Since May in Final Game

iStock/Thinkstock(NEW YORK) — Yankees’ Alex Rodriguez took the field in the top of the ninth inning in Firday night’s game against to Tampa Bay Rays.

It was the first time the slugger played third base since May of this year.

The Yankees announced earlier this week that Friday’s game would be A-Rod’s last with the organization.

Rodriguez will stay with the team as an advisor for the final year of his contract and has not said he is officially retiring from baseball.
